Municipal Case Studies

Flexible Pavements of Ohio (FPO) has developed a series of municipal case studies to assist Ohio’s local governments in learning from the experiences of other communities which have constructed a roadway network of asphalt pavements. These communities have developed unique asphalt pavement buildups based on their local traffic, environmental and soil conditions but share a common benefit of enjoying the predictable, reliable nature of asphalt pavements.

The attached case studies detail how Ohio communities are constructing their roadway network with asphalt pavements to accurately forecast future roadway maintenance costs and avoid the need for the cost prohibitive rehabilitation and reconstruction projects.
